The Harry S. Truman Farm Home is owned and operated by the National Park Service. The 5.25-acre site includes the farmhouse, which was built in 1894 for Truman’s maternal grandmother, and several outbuildings. President Truman spent much of his childhood at the farm during the early 1900s, before he left for the war in 1917.
